The Research Services Intern at Americans for the Arts assists the department in gathering, generating, and disseminating the tools and information needed by arts industries stakeholders to inform decision-making and advocacy efforts.
A prospective intern should have experience interpreting survey data, analyzing results using statistical methods, strong analytical skills, and be interested in learning more about—and improving—the nonprofit arts field. He or she should also possess excellent communication skills, particularly in writing, and have a firm grasp of the mission and goals of Americans for the Arts.
Like all our summer interns, the Research Services Intern will team up with at least one intern from another department in the organization to work on and deliver a Summer Collaborative Project. This project will require a responsible and detail-oriented person with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The Research Intern will assist research staff with various projects. The intern may be asked to perform any of the following tasks:
